Christmas Letter 2009

But the angel said to them "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. "This {will be} a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased." (Luke 2: 10-14)

Merry Christmas from the Hart Family!

2009 has been an adventure for our family. January we moved to Gig Harbor, WA, and in March Rob left for 4 ½ months of training in Georgia & Virginia. Monica & the boys quickly settled in to our new home & enjoyed summer on the Puget Sound. Finally in August Rob was home with the family!

One of our favorite ways to explore & get out-and-about is geocaching. The boys are finally old enough to really have fun looking for the caches & enjoy the hikes! Other adventures include: museums, ferry rides, street cars, swimming, and visiting family & friends in Oregon.

Trevor turned 3 in February & Tyler 5 in June. In the fall we started the adventure of homeschooling, both boys love learning & it has been a joy to watch as they discover new things. This year both boys asked Jesus into their hearts and continue to grow in their understanding of Jesus’ love for them. Trevor also had the not so fun adventure of falling off the merry-go-round this summer & getting 5 stitches. Tyler & Trevor love living close to the city where they can ride the ferries & watch trains & planes!

We look back at this year with much thanksgiving in our hearts! We are thankful for our family & the times we get to spend with them. Thankful for our old & new friends! Thankful for Rob’s job with Federal Protective Service and the opportunities it provides. Thank you for sharing in our lives with us. We look forward to 2010 and the adventures that await us!

Have a blessed Christmas,
Robert, Monica, Tyler & Trevor

Sending Christmas wishes to your family from ours. Wow, you updated a lot. It was great to see all that your family has been up to. Your boys are so handsome and growing so much. I"m glad you started the toilet seat tradition in your family. It was a funny idea. I've never been motivated enough to make it happen for us. :-) I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.
